How it works

How to boost audio volume online

  1. Upload your audio file. Choose MP3, WAV, OGG, OPUS, M4A, AAC, M4R, FLAC, or AIFF when your browser can decode it.
  2. Choose a boost level. Increase volume from 125% up to 500%, or use the slider for a custom value.
  3. Preview the louder audio. Listen before saving so you can avoid harsh distortion or clipping.
  4. Create the output. Export the boosted audio as MP3 for smaller files or WAV for an uncompressed copy.
  5. Download manually. The page creates the file first, then you click the download button yourself.

Quality notes

Boosting volume without ruining the sound

Volume boosting multiplies the audio signal. If the boost is too high, loud parts can hit the digital ceiling and create clipping distortion. The tool includes a soft limiter option. Instead of silently reducing the boost back to the original level, it keeps the audio louder while reducing harsh clipping on peaks.

For quiet voice recordings, moderate boosts such as 150%, 200%, or 300% usually work better than forcing the maximum setting. For already loud music, use smaller boosts and preview carefully before creating the output file.

Local browser processing

This volume booster tries to decode and process audio locally in your browser. Browser support still depends on the file format, device memory, CPU, and available codecs. Sensitive or confidential audio should always be handled carefully, especially when using any online tool.
